ESC Biennale 2025: is a biennial initiative organized by 98B COLLABoratory. Since 2016, it has served as a platform for collaboration, experimentation, and conversation within and beyond the local art community.

The 2025 edition, Tambay Lang (stylized as T4MB4Y L4NG), reflects on the Filipino notion of tambay — a mode of being that embraces unstructured time, spontaneous presence, and gathering for no particular reason. This year’s programming turns to informal and slower forms of cultural exchange: sitting on bangkôs, staying at the kanto, sharing food or stories.

ESC Grant Open Call Extended to July 31, 2025

We’re inviting applications from PH-based and UK-based artists for the ESC Grant, part of ESC Biennale 2025: T4MB4Y L4NG. This open call welcomes proposals that respond to the theme of tambay and explore how art can engage with Escolta’s spaces, histories, and communities.

For PH-Based Artists

We're looking for one project to be developed and presented in Escolta this December as part of the biennale.

Support includes:

• ₱25,000 artist fee

• Up to ₱50,000 production budget

• Roundtrip travel (if outside Metro Manila)

• Accommodation in Manila

• Modest daily allowance

• Curatorial and logistical support from 98B

• Design and media support

• Exhibition opens December 7, 2025
