A murmur is that low sound one hears when people are speaking simultaneously; usually vague and continuous. These are often gentle utterances that express an opinion. While unclear and indistinguishable, it is an audible undertone that reflects an impression.
Your voice will be heard through the choice that you make. By selecting the peculiar combination of sight and sound you can take part in this sensory experience. The contradiction, similarity and disparity of the juxtapositions convey various layers of meanings, reactions and responses from different individuals. What is yours?
“The subconscious is ceaselessly murmuring, and it is by listening to these MURMURS that one hears the truth.” – Gaston Bachelard
MURMURS is an interactive video and sound installation by 98B COLLABoratory (Manila, Philippines) featuring Marika Constantino, Miguel Lope Inumerable, Julius Redillas and Gabriel Villegas. This is in partnership with The Libray by Soundpocket (Hong Kong) for their “overseas sound scope” project.
ESCape Projects deal with spatial negotiations, transformations and interventions. It revolves around particular locations, contexts and renditions—whether as flights of the imagination or discharges of the creative spirit. ESCape artists are given the freedom to conceive and visualize new landscapes. To ESCape is to create a 1 day project, a 1 day show, a 1 day exhibition. It is a new model for creatives which evolved from the parallel events we have initiated in the Saturday X Future Market @ ESCOLTA. It is an experimental platform.
