Protracted

Richard Coronel experiments with photographs, 3d animation, and live-action footage, to present a time-based work that explores protracted social conflicts in relation to the individual self.

Coronel is a multidisciplinary artist who works mainly on video, installation, and new media. He studied video and film production at the University of the Philippines Film Institute and the Asia Pacific Film Institute. His works draw inspiration from people’s movements, dark humor, and subcultural themes such as taboos. His works have been exhibited in the Netherlands, Croatia and Japan.
